the Big Red Button: A Must Read for every Newcomer!
Last night I was reading 13 deadly sins of traffic exchanges. The ebook fit me to a tee! Sign up for a few traffic exchanges,
post a couple links, join a couple of affiliate programs and BAM! the money just pours on in! Well all of a sudden 2 weeks
later your in the same spot, not getting anything done and you start grumbling about how traffic exchanges don't work. The
point of this isn't about traffic exchanges though, it's about our expectations. That book had a nice list of things for me to
start working on - list building, splash pages, etc - but the part that hit home was this idea of the Big Red Button. The Big
Red Button is basically what we're all looking for when we first find online money making programs. Somehow we are just
going to find that magic key, set up a link or 2, and 3 weeks later we're suddenly living the high life.

Things don't work that way. You (& I for that matter) need to realize that this isn't going to happen overnight. It takes time,
dedication and work. We can't just quit because we can't retire after 3 weeks of showing our new affiliate program on 2
exchanges. So just remember this is going to take time, and don't get flustered. Simple and short, but I know when I found
LinkReferral that was my sudden dream for BadLuckHandicapper. Luckily I bumped into a few articles about patience and
seeing the big picture.
Affiliate Curve
I have listed a few of the articles I have sent in to Ezines below. They are originally from my blog and I feel they are
relevant for those of us just starting out. Take a few minutes and read at least one. I am not going to pretend to have
all the answers, but I do believe that you need to understand this isn't an overnight process. If I find the overnight
button, believe me I'll let you know right away. That sure would be easy to sell! LOL But seriously, keep things in
perspective and be realistic. I see too many people come and go. They say 90% of people who start online marketing
fail. I believe it's because everyone wants all the answers to instant wealth NOW! Don't be part of that 90% Do your
research, spend your time & money wisely, and really try to Build your marketing business the right way.
If these aren't enough of my incredibly motivational words...LOL, I'm just playing.
If you haven't had enough of me, check out my

The Story of Bill Britt
Here's an inspiring article for your success in online marketing:

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature
story on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers -- several distributors who had failed and
showed the garages full of products they couldn't sell.

During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this
business has obviously worked for you. What's your secret?"

He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No.' and only 300 signed up. Out of
those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a
millionaire."

Like Mark Yarnell (who made millions with NuSkin), Bill worked through the numbers.

Like we always say - ANY business is a numbers game, plain and simple! Remember that & be persistent & you WILL
succeed.

Stack the odds in your favor, play the numbers and keep a steady flow of NEW business to YOUR website.
Beginners Guide To Traffic Exchanges
If your brand new to using Traffic Exchanges, there is a LOT to learn. This is my simple guide to using them effectively, in
as short & sweet of a fashion as I am capable of :)

First I want you to keep this as simple as possible while you are learning. I recommend using at least 5 exchanges even as
a beginner, but if you want to just use 1 to get a feel, go ahead.

My Guidelines for how to use Traffic Exchanges Effectively:

SPEND YOUR CREDITS WISELY!
They go darn fast once you allocate them so spend them wisely. Try to figure out
your montly goal and how to achieve it. For instance, if you want 2,000 hits/month, you need to earn 500 credits per week.
If you use 5 exchanges all you need is 100 credits, per week, on each exchange - This is about 1 hour of surfing a week.
Surfing is WORK, in my opinion - It's not fun - It is only a vehicle to promote my business and I don't waste my credits.

Promote mostly Free advertising for THEIR business: Surfers are NOT interested in more business opportunities
so no selling. Selling directly on a traffic exchange is a huge mistake. They are all their to promote their business, not join
a bunch of new ones (when they aren't succeeding with theirs in the first place!)

Use only Splash Pages: Quick & to the point pages. You only have a couple seconds to grab attention and if they have
to scroll, it's not going to work very well. Your results will go WAY up if you are promoting FREE Opportunities that are
simple and to the point!

Remember that this is a process: You aren't going to get rich next week. You are going to spend your first couple
weeks only learning about how exchanges work. Be patient and don't give up when it doesn't "Happen Overnight" for you

Don't Miss Your Bonus Pages: HitSafari, 4x4Hits & TrafficSplash Especially are on this list because of the bonus
credits you can earn. Learn where they are and try not to miss them. Those 3-7 bonus credit links will add up Quick, so
make sure your getting them.

Don't be stupid: If your goal is to get referrals on other traffic exchanges, don't waste your credits promoting an
exchange on the same exchange. As in, don't put up a HitSafari Referral Page ON the HitSafari site! I hope you just
laughed and said "I would never do this", but I see it all the time while surfing - PLEASE don't waste your credits this way.
THEY ARE TOO VALUABLE TO WASTE!

Focus your efforts! Promote only 3 or so websites at each exchange. Remember that a GREAT signup rate is 1 for
every 120 page views so choose your BEST pages to promote. Don't promote 12 different sites poorly. Promote 3 sites
with efficiency and get maximum hits! You will figure out quicker what pages work and which don't. If your trying to promote
20 URL's, your going to get poor performance for 20 sites! Even as a pro member at many exchanges, I only promote 3 or
4 different sites, and I drive a LOT of traffic.

This is a beginners guide from my own experience. You will not learn everything overnight, but I know this article would
have saved me at least a MONTH of wasted time and money on traffic exchanges
