My first AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE warning!
As far as online money making programs go, the first one I absolutely HATE is surveys. I signed up for these about 2
years ago when I was on disability. I had 3 months at home and wanted to see if I could make any money in my spare time.
Unfortunately I found paid surveys. I paid the $35 to join the course, downloaded the "auto fill" form filler and proceeded to
spend hours upon hours signing up for survey sites one after the other. I opened a Paypal business account and a
separate email account. It wasn't long before I started receiving these (they deliver a LOT of emails). I filled them out
diligently - Over and over I kept reading the rewards and every single one of them gave you a "contest entry" ticket or you
built up points for that particular account. I'm not kidding when I say I spent perhaps 100 hours doing these. I'm also not
kidding when I say I didn't make even 1 red cent - not 1 penny! After about 2 months of filling out 20-30 surveys daily, I
finally had enough. Every time I checked one out it was the same thing - Get 1 ticket into the contest drawing for filling out
our 15 min survey.

I don't know if others have had success with participating in surveys, or maybe even success in their Affiliate Programs,
but I will stick by this with ABSOLUTE RESOLVE - Avoid them at all costs! They are the biggest waste of time as far as
online money making ventures go.

**Update May 22, 2008 - To those who are "offended", let me clarify
It's funny how many complaints I've had from people who promote online surveys. In my OPINION they go hand in hand
with Pay To Click Programs. Basically they told me about how they made $40 last month using survey's or how they make
$10 if they click 10,000 ads. I'm not here to offend anyone - If you like survey's and PTC programs then by all means do
them. My point is quite simply this: Do you REALLY want to spend hours and hours online to make a few bucks? If that is
enough for you than that's great. It is certainly better than losing several hundred going after the endless get rich scams
that are out there. It's just not what I recommend spending your time on. I have a good day job already. What I want to
figure out is how to make some Real money online. It is taking me a LOT of work now, but the goal is to build up a
business that earns for me whether I'm on the computer or not. If you want to make a few bucks clicking ads or doing
survey's, that is totally up to you - I wish you the best Success!
I'm hoping to help you avoid some of the mistakes I have made. Even if they couldn't
have been avoided, it's good to read about what others have been through. I could
just keep on promoting these things and let everyone find out for themselves, but
that isn't why I got into online marketing. I'm trying to help people no matter what
stage of their online career they are at - I will update this as often as possible!
If your looking to start a work at home business, you might find these programs
online. AVOID them! I will be updating this list anytime I find a program that is
nothing but a waste of time. I hope I save you some time with these warnings.

Contact Them! - Found April 2, 2008 - DIED around May 15th
This is my first big hit in online marketing. The other day I got 2 lousy reviews at LinkReferral that said the site didn't load. I
figured it was someone on dial up being a hater but nope - I clicked the links and nothing came up. I went to my home site
(right here obviously) and the 4 ads on the front page were gone. I tried to go online and checked my emails to see if
someone had notified me. Not a thing. I had almost 200 affiliates signed up under me since April 2 and now it's just gone.
Spent a bunch of money for advertising at LinkReferral and promoted my Butt Off to get everyone to join. Now the
company has up and disappeared.

So I guess it's my first real lesson in online marketing. Although I'm not sure if I could avoid it again. It was free to join and
looked legitimate. I had seen their advertisements in a few other places. I guess the one thing I can say is this was definitely
the "Too Good To Be True" program. So from now on I will be investigating programs further. Here is a tip for researching
a program.
Type in the Program Name - SCAM. This is a good way to find out others experience with most programs
being used. I don't know much else about how to avoid these things, but the SCAM will give you a start.
Affiliate Junktion Review
Affiliate Junktion was one of the first affiliate programs I joined early in my online career. I would love to recommend even
MORE people AVOID them, but it doesn't matter much now - They have ceased operations.

I invested over $5,000 in advertising this company using Pay Per Click Marketing. I got 2,148 signups just in September.
That should have earned my $4,296 - They sent me a check for $753.

I had over $6,500 in further earnings unpaid from Oct & Nov - So quite a big loss for me.

To see my full story, see my
blog entry here - And AVOID Affiliate Junktion!
Push Button Extreme SCAM
I joined Push Button Extreme in early February. I had seen it promoted on the safelists like crazy. Usually the safelists are
almost like the "hot sheets" for marketing programs. I decided to try and get in to a big money program early, so I joined.

PBX promises that you will earn money without sponsoring. Up to $480/month with ZERO Sponsoring. They also tell you
that if you can manage to get just 1 signup, then you earn up to $1,980/month from JUST Cycling.

PBX really bothers me because it's very expensive and isn't TRUE - AT ALL.

I shot a YouTube video about PBX. Here is a Honest PBX Review

SpiderWeb Marketing Review - Know what your REALLY getting into
This isn't so much a finger pointing at Spider Web Marketing - it's a brilliant System. What I found was that it just didn't
really deliver the income results it promised.

First, SpiderWeb is a good system - Great splash pages with video and really pretty easy to setup and get started. The
"Problem" with SpiderWeb is that there is nothing FREE about it.

They incorporate GDI as the "backbone" of the business. But when you get past this, you start to realize that the Spider
Web System is pretty expensive. The programs range from $30 to $150/month - with many programs and steps to join.

I got 213 Spider Web signups in just over 6 weeks promoting this program. The problem was that they advertise everything
as "FREE", and nothing about it is free (except signing up to get started)

I made nothing with this program - I got a few GDI signups, but the bottom line, for me, was that I couldn't afford to join all
of the programs - They were all very expensive, for the type of traffic I'm able to get, and it just wasn't working out into any
income for me.

It gets a lot of people in the door - But out of the 213 people I got in the door, none of them did anything with it.

If you are looking for a program that builds your GDI Business, I like Free & Powerful. This pays you $50 just for completing
the 3 free steps and offers SIMPLE income streams.

Free Affiliate Insider Review - AVOID
This is a company that sounds great when you first see the sales page. You get to sign up as an affiliate and earn
commissions through your own Diet Review Site. They give you a very well designed page that converts into sales well.

Problem with Free Affiliate Insider is that this is run by a dishonest owner. You are supposed to earn $35/referral with Free
Affiliate Insider. I signed myself up (which I was told would give me a commission, by the owner Michael Beeson), advertised
heavily for a month and had 8 people from my personal email list tell me they joined under me (I didn't ask anyone, they
came to me and mentioned it)

I never got 1 referral credit, when I should have had at LEAST 8, and probably more in the 15-20 range. I was using PPC
advertising which converts very well.

I signed up for the Co-Op which guaranteed at least $100 earnings within the month. Again, I didn't get any referrals and
cancelled the Co-Op after 30 days. I was never
credited the guaranteed $100.

I spoke to the owner several times. Now he refuses to email me back. I had $140 in further earnings never paid, along with
at least 9 referral commissions of $35/each never credited.

Avoid Free Affiliate Insider. This guy is out for himself and could care less about affiliates.

Try More Niche Instead: They also offer TONS of advertising and marketing help!
Matrix Programs - 4x1 Fortune, EZ2x2, etc.
I joined a few of these matrix programs that promised spillover and automatic earnings. I even got several referrals for
EZ2x2. I've never gotten ANY spillover. I've never even been paid for the referrals I did get myself.

Support is non-existent. I actually phoned support at EZ2x2 and the guy said he couldn't help me with MY problem. He also
told me nobody was there that could help me - What was my HUGE problem you ask? Getting paid - That was it. I had 12
referrals and hadn't been credited any money. I sent in several support requests and never even received 1 response.

These matrix programs are just crap - These are nothing but Hit N Run affiliate programs. Please don't waste your money.
Five Star Affiliate Review - AVOID
Sometimes I just never learn, but at least I didn't waste too much time or money here. Five Star Affiliate is exactly the same
platform as Affiliate Junktion. You sign up, buy hosting, get your own website and are then paid per lead.

I earned $753 here in 3 weeks. I never got paid. I sent in several request tickets and got zero response. They were VERY
helpful when I was paying my hosting. The support was nearly instant when I asked how to advertise. Then it was time for
me to get paid and they disappear. They still run their website advertising, but please avoid them at all cost.

Five Star Affiliate is a complete SCAM!
Free Site Signup Review - UGGGGGGGGG!
Joined here, promised the world, advertised (and spent!) like crazy - Completely Burned. My sites had the incorrect links for months
while I was being told it was my fault. I sent 200 - 300 clicks daily while being credited with no referrals. I had multiple people from my
email list join that I was never credited for.

I wouldn't say they are dishonest as much as I would say incompetent. And that's more than enough to just quit. I just wish I had quit a
bit sooner and saved myself the headache, hassle and money.

AVOID Free Site Signup - They don't have a CLUE how to run an affiliate program
